General elections are conducted every four years in Nigeria, toward the end of tenures of elected public office holders. It is a time to contest, campaign and most of all win. Political parties try to achieve this goal in so many ways, but one primary way they do this is campaign. It involves giving the people whatever appeals to them. They also try to make statements about what they stand for through party LOGOS, flags etc.
The noteworthy thing is the economic impact some of the party logos bear. For instance, All progressive congress (APC) has broom. On the other hand, the leading party Peoples democratic party (PDP) has umbrella. Each of these is symbolizing what the party stands for. All parties make T shirts brands of their own in large quantities.
By and large, the impression those campaigns create is not to be noticed more than the impacts it makes. When APC preach their good news, brooms fall from the sky. Every member is expected to have one. And that alone makes a wave of profit for those in that field.
If you are paying attention to the commercial values, you will need to find a way to make best use of it.
What you need to do.
You don't need to be active in politics to do that. Get to know campaign coordinators, and work out a deal with them.
Get the requested material ready, and look for more. The campaigns don't end in the neighborhood near you, there are yet many people to reach. Therefore find a way to go beyond where you are.
See how you can provide other needed materials that aren't exactly your line of business. For instance, PDP use umbrellas. Get to anyone you know in this field, work an agreement out with him, and go home with your take.
Printers are always needed for branding of T shirts and hand bills, see what you can do.
Your relationship with them is important. Therefore, do not piss them, be honest, how well you work today will result in tomorrow's togetherness.
