Nollywood registration form online. That's what pops up sometimes when you search "Nollywood" online. But the questions are: When did Nollywood start issuing forms for individuals aspiring to become actors and actresses? Is there anything really like Nollywood registration form?

Acting makes people rich and famous. And it is the dream of average person who idolizes actors and actresses to become one someday. But behind every good thing there is always a danger. Scam artists and fraudsters knows exactly what you are looking for. They have devised so many ways to lure vulnerable acting aspirants. One of them is trying to make you believe there is Nollywood registration form online. And they provide phone numbers instead of a platform that will enable such registration.

I have done a lot of online registration (both locally and internationally) to know a great deal about how online registration works. The fact is, online registration is done online, not offline. Even though it sounds the same to many whose judgement is being crowded by ambition and ignorance, but the fact remains that, I have an obligation to tell you the difference between what it takes to become a Nollywood actor or actress, and what it takes to become a fraud victim.

What it Takes to Become a Nollywood Actor

Acting is the act of mimicking another persons character perfectly. In most cases, it's a talent thing. I mean one needs to have the ability to copy a character different from yours excellently that you would make it as if it's your real attitude. That's where it starts. But no one has ever made it playing different characters to himself, you need to be seen by people. And that's where it really matters.

Before a movie stage is set, there has to be auditions, primarily for upcoming actresses and actors. During auditions, many actors are assigned a role to perform individually, and whoever does it best plays the role. It is through this means that producers and movie directors get the best talents. Therefore, aspiring actresses and actors look out for as many auditions as possible. Since film locations are not exclusive to a particular region of the country, the opportunity is therefore open to people in different regions depending on the locations the producers choose.

What it Takes to Become a Victim

Cynthia Osukogu- the name rings a bell. Unsuspecting and carefree, the young woman ended up badly. She did not want to become an actress, she only wanted to do business. Her killers confessed that they specialize in luring rich ladies, she wasn't their first victim. That's exactly how criminals treat most unsuspecting nollywood aspirants who go out of their way looking for anyone who could promise them anything called acting role without due diligence.

Some other online scam artistes belong to a syndicate to lure young women who wish to pursue their career in the movie industry to their snare. The bait they use is promises they cannot fulfill, messages  that sound promising yet fraudulent when you pay close to attention.

Now consider the the aforementioned message: Nollywood registration form online. Quite tempting? Yes, to those who are potential victims. Actors are intelligent people and if want to be one, you must be intelligent, being able to distinguish what is real and what is scam.

If you log on to a site advertizing registration form online, and instead of the registration form, you get a phone number, run for your dear life! I don't need to tell you it's a bait lure you into parting with your money or even getting killed.

Now this is what scam victims see, those who hopefully call those numbers, they get subjected to sex abuse/rape, their nude pictures taken for blackmail and further extortion. The supposed film producers keep demanding money from them until they get as much as they want or may never stop demanding. then the phone number you once called, the location you have been to, the people you once met, will exist no more.

Acting career is fulfilling, but what fulfills more is how you go about it. Not everyone who wishes will become an actor. Therefore, follow due process, contact the right people and make sure you conduct due diligence before meeting anyone.
