Three main raw materials are needed for candle production. These are the materials:
Candle Wax - This is the major component which is the solid white matter that burn and melts when lighted. It is sold in the market in large pellets.
Stearic Acid - This is the Crystalline fatty acid that is usually colorless and odorless.
Stearic acid is the saturated fatty acid with an 18-carbon chain and has the IUPAC name octadecanoic acid. It is a waxy solid, and its chemical formula is CH3(CH2)16CO2H.
Wick - This the thread you find at the middle of the candle
Below is the full lists of the materials needed for different candles of different colors
1. Paraffin wax
2. White Beeswax
3. Pyramid mold
4. Watermelon fragrance oil
5. Black/Gray concentrated liquid dye
6. Red/pink concentrated liquid dye
7. Hunter green concentrated liquid dye
8. 24-ply flat braid wick
9. Mold sealer
10. Cookie sheet
